6.5 Frames Per Second

Not saying you forget but it makes me feel better to imagine everyone else screwing up like I did yesterday.

I spent the day shooting at 1600 iso at the beach with an average shutter speed of 3200. I left the images in camera thinking they’d be noisy and unusable. That was my second mistake. The 40D is quite capable at 1600 at least equal to the standard film grain at 400 iso. After importing the images I was impressed with the amount of post I didn’t have to do.

Before you ask, yes he was pulled from under a rock and forced to pose against his or her will. I admit it. I regularly abuse the comfort of crustaceans for my own artisitc gratification and I’m ok with that.
