1940’s Gruen Doctors Watch

Author: I making that assumption by the red SS and I’ll update if incorrect. This just came in today so I haven’t had a chance to do the research yet. i have five more pieces coming in so between work and collecting I’ll have a busy Summer this year.
This is by far the nicest vintage piece straight out of the couriers hands. There’s very little work to do apart from cleaning and re-luming the hands and dial. As it’s an automatic it showed up already set and keeping very good time. This is a Gruen 460 movement which was the first year they produced automatics.

Yes but it needs some work. There’s a piece of rodico floating around in the movement that has to be addressed and the minute hand is cracked.
